Implement science and technology activities to serve the need for human resources training and development, meet the demands of socio-economic development and of national defense and security, as well as bring scientific research, training and technology transfer altogether:

  • Research and develop cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer to serve the need for technological innovation and development of external partners, consult on professional skill and speciality for administrative agencies, enterprises and individuals domestically and internationally;
  • Support start-up activities, as well as appling and commercialising the research outputs from IU’s members.
  • The Start-up Incubator is the convergence venue of passionate and ambitious startups, aiming to build a supportive community that encourages collaboration and fosters commercialization. Startups will be fully equipped with the skills necessary to solve an important problem. Moreover, this is a good theory goes asymptotically to reality for students.

Innovation Center is responsible for:

Research based on needs and by order:

  • Ensuring optimal conditions for collaborations between the IU and external partners;
  • Understanding the development strategies of external partners;
  • Connect students, researchers, and staff to implement the orders, projects and research topics.

Start-up incubator:

  • Incubating to early-stage startups, helping them achieve commercialization;
  • Commercializing research results;
  • Mentoring for all entrepreneur-driven ventures that members and ex members of the IU are about to start;
  • The Center aims to use the benefit of the incubated ventures from IU’s expertise about Intellectual Property, new venture creation, investment raising and/or technology marketing.

Support creation of start-up companies and entrepreneurship activities

  • Develop Startup Accelerators to facilitate proactive engagement of students, researchers, and staff;
  • Support SMEs lacking of entrepreneurship skills and business capabilities;
  • Understanding the development strategies of external partners;
  • Organize promotional activities to expose startups to potential industrial partners or investors;
  • Organize open-innovation workshop related to start-ups;
  • Provide various types of support for SMEs: skills training, financial services, brand/product and marketing management, training consultancy…

Other activities:

  • Deliver knowledge-based training on technology transfer, knowledge exchange and research commercialization issues for enterprises by internal partners in IU;
  • Administer the Center’s staff and assets according to regulation;
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Rector.
