The corresponding 1st NTW in Malaysia was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has taken place from 4th to 7th July, 2019 in Johor. International University (IU) has sent 06 persons to attend this workshop, including Dr. Pham Thi Hoa, Project coordinator at IU, and 05 project team members.
Objectives of the workshop:
The main goal of the first managerial meeting and regional workshop was to review the current progress of the ICTeEfS in light of the forthcoming second biannual report. Specific objectives were to discuss the development of the faculties of education in partner universities to align curriculum with the area of education for sustainability. Particular emphasis was placed on the framework suitable to support the integration of sustainability elements in the curriculum.
Participants of 1st National Training Workshop in Johor are experts, lecturers from partner organizations, including:

Some activities at the workshop in Johor, Malaysia:
– On Day 1, the program starts with presenting managerial Issues, involving reporting activities, potential problems and impacts by each partner university. Then, talk on risk analysis and strategies was delivered by Professor Dr. Vassilios Makrakis from Frederick University, and assisted by Professor Nelly Kostoulas from the University of Crete.
– On Day 2, almost 75 Undergraduate courses have been chosen by the partner universities to be reviewed in addressing education for sustainability. Participants from partner universities were trained in applying the DeCore plus methodology for course revision. Participants were exposed about ICTeEfS teaching standards and competencies framework.

Conclusions and Outcomes
The presentations and discussions of the participants as well as the feedback and guidance of Prof. Vassilios Makrakis with the cooperation of Prof. Nelly Kostoulas offered the participants the opportunity to elaborate deeper on the courses.
