On February 22, 2023, the International University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Social Business Creation (SBC) Vietnam Hub. The event took place within the framework of the “Information and Connection Day: Kick-off Day for the Social Business Creation 2023 competition”.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the University’s Board of Rectors – Professor Le Van Canh – Vice President and Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Hiep – Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department. The partner representative was the Board of Rectors of the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi (the unit managing SBC Hub in Vietnam), along with representatives from Ministries, international organizations, universities, businesses, and investment funds, such as Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung – Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai – Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Chau – Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam, Professor Thai Thi Thanh Mai – Professor at HEC Montreal and Director of the Global SBC program, as well as the presence of media agencies, experts and students.
Through this partnership, the International University officially joins the SBC Hub network in Vietnam to accompany the SBC mission, promote the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among students with community service activities, and contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
During the program, the representatives from SBC Vietnam Hub provided a comprehensive overview of their operational network, the achievements of the SBC Competition 2022, as well as the purpose, organizational structure, and benefits for participants of the SBC Competition 2023.

The International University has been actively participating in the SBC Competition since 2021 with remarkable achievements, including winning the Global First Prize and being in the Top 4 globally in 2022, as well as being honored with the TOP 5 Institution Prizes for two consecutive years and contributing two experts to the program. In SBC Competition 2023, the International University will nominate personnel to join the network of experts and select potential projects to participate in this meaningful competition.
